SC defers Shiv Sena symbol case to August, asks lawyers to stop filing repeated requests

Mumbai/New Delhi, July 14 (UNI) The Supreme Court has decided to deliver its verdict in the petitions related to the Shiv Sena party name and election symbol in the month of August.
The court firmly instructed the lawyers to stop submitting repeated requests concerning the case.
The hearing, which was scheduled for today, was closely followed by people across Maharashtra. The case challenges the Election Commission’s decision to grant the name “Shiv Sena” and the iconic “bow and arrow” symbol to the Eknath Shinde-led faction.
