SC Commission orders arrest of Raja Warring within 10 days, summons Kapurthala DSP

Chandigarh, Nov 12 (UNI) Political tensions in Punjab have deepened after the Scheduled Castes Commission directed police to arrest Congress state president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring within ten days for allegedly making caste-based remarks against former union Home Minister Buta Singh.
Commission chairman Jasbir Singh Garhi summoned Kapurthala DSP Hargurdev Singh to Chandigarh to explain the delay in the case. During the hearing, the DSP said that certain technical procedures, including forensic verification of the video evidence, were still underway and could take about a week.
Dissatisfied with the explanation, Garhi instructed that Warring be arrested by November 20. He remarked that the police could not claim to be unable to locate Warring when he was seen publicly attending events in Tarn Taran and Nawanshahr. Garhi reportedly showed videos of Warring’s appearances to underline his point.

MP approves Nauradehi as 3rd cheetah habitat at Virangana Durgavati reserve

Bhopal, Dec 9 (UNI) In a major initiative to expand the cheetah habitats in Madhya Pradesh, the BJP-ruled state government has accorded in‑principle approval to develop Virangana Durgavati Tiger Reserve, at Nauradehi in the Sagar district of the state, as the third cheetah habitat in Madhya Pradesh.
The approval was granted by the state cabinet at its meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Dr Mohan Yadav, and held specially at Khajuraho on Tuesday.
