Satyaki Savarkar urges court to direct Rahul Gandhi to remain present in Pune court

Pune, Oct 6 (UNI) The defamation case filed against Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi over his alleged remarks against freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar is currently pending before Special Judge Amol Shriram Shinde in Pune.
During the previous hearing, complainant Satyaki Savarkar had submitted an application requesting that Rahul Gandhi be directed to remain personally present before the court and submit an affidavit. The court had then sought a reply from the defence on this application.
Advocate Milind Dattatray Pawar, appearing for Rahul Gandhi, strongly opposed the plea, arguing that the complainant must clarify the specific legal provisions under which such an application has been filed.

Nagpur, Nov 10 (UNI) In a spate of audacious daylight frauds, criminals posing as police officers robbed elderly residents across Nagpur, making off with gold jewellery worth several lakhs of rupees, officials said on Monday
In the first case, Tehsil area, around 10:45 am near Amarkar Jewellers on Itwari Road, four men convinced 55-year-old Mamta Dhadiwal that they were police officers and persuaded her to hand over her gold jewellery. The culprits fled with valuables worth approximately Rs 3.7 lakh.
