Jammu, Nov 3 (UNI) Former legislator Sat Sharma has been appointed as new president of Jammu and Kashmir Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP).
He replaced Ravinder Raina, who has been made a member of national executive.
As per the official notification issued by the BJP headquarters, Sat Sharma has replaced Ravinder Raina as new chief of J&K BJP unit. Raina remained J&K BJP president since 2018.
Sat Sharma, who won from Jammu West in 2014 Assembly elections and remained cabinet minister in the previous BJP-PDP government, was appointed as the working president on September 9.
Meanwhile Ravinder Raina, was appointed in the national executive of the BJP, had recently contested the assembly elections from the Nowshera constituency in October and lost against Surinder Choudhary from the National Conference.
