Sasken announces Hyderabad CoE to boost engineering, digital capabilities

Hyderabad, Apr 16 (UNI): Sasken Technologies Ltd. on Thursday announced the launch of a new Center of Excellence (CoE) in Hyderabad, aimed at scaling its product engineering and digital transformation capabilities while strengthening regional delivery operations.
The new facility will deepen collaboration with key chipset partners such as Qualcomm and their OEM ecosystem, as demand grows for advanced engineering solutions across global markets, the IT company said in a release here.
The Hyderabad CoE will drive innovation in areas including 5G-led platforms, connected devices, IoT solutions, embedded systems, and digital product engineering.
It is expected to support complex global programs across sectors such as automotive, smart devices, industrial technology, and satellite communications.
The new centre will enhance customer proximity, accelerate engineering cycles, and enable faster time-to-market for high-tech products, the release said.
As part of the expansion, the company appointed Nirmala Datla, Chief Data Science & Engineering Officer, as Site Leader for the Hyderabad CoE.
She will oversee delivery, capability building, and talent development at the new facility.
Sasken also announced plans to hire over 100 specialised professionals in the coming months, tapping into Hyderabad’s strong technology talent pool. Recruitment will focus on high-skill roles across semiconductors, automotive engineering, ODM, and data science.
The company described the Hyderabad CoE as a strategic investment aligned with its growth roadmap in product engineering and digital services.
“Hyderabad’s strong engineering ecosystem enables us to scale delivery, deepen customer collaboration, and accelerate innovation,” said Nirmala Datla.
Hareesh Ramanna, Chief Experience Officer at Sasken, added that the new centre strengthens the company’s delivery footprint and positions it to serve customers with greater speed, scale, and proximity while supporting long-term growth.
