Sanjay Singh accuses Govt. of intimidation after FIR filed over remarks on Temple demolitions in Varanasi

New Delhi, Jan 18 (UNI) AAP MP and Uttar Pradesh in-charge Sanjay Singh on Sunday said that the FIR registered against him in Varanasi was a selective and intimidating move by the administration.
Singh claimed the action targets him while ignoring broader protests over the reported demolition of several ancient temples and heritage sites in Varanasi, including the Manikarnika Ghat and a statue of Ahilyabai Holkar.
He stated that the demolition occurred in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s parliamentary constituency, despite objections from local saints, members of Ahilyabai Holkar’s family, and even former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan.
