Sanam Teri Kasam 2 to release in 2026

Mumbai, Feb 11 (UNI) Radhika Rao and Vinay Sapru, the creators of the superhit 2016 movie Sanam Teri Kasam are planning to come out with a sequel by Valentine’s Day 2026, after the resounding success of the recent re-release of the original
The directors recently revealed that the script for Sanam Teri Kasam 2 has been ready for a while. They emphasised that, given the overwhelming response to the first film’s re-release this Valentine’s Day, they feel compelled to bring the sequel by Valentine’s Day 2026.

In an interview with India Forums, the directors revealed that the story was originally conceptualised as a two-part narrative. They elaborated that the poignant conclusion of the first film, where Inder (Harshvardhan Rane) approaches the tree, in which Saru's (Mawra Hocane) voice resonates in the background, was strategically crafted to lay the foundation for a sequel.
They also confirmed that most of the songs for the film are nearly complete, further assuring fans that production is progressing swiftly, according to a report by Pinkvilla.
The makers sometime back took to social media to formally announce the sequel, confirming that Harshvardhan Rane will reprise his role. The post read, "Sanam Teri Kasam 2 is officially happening! After the epic love story of the first film, we’re back with more! Stay tuned for updates!" UNI XC SSP
