Samrat credits PM Modi for Bihar's transformation

Patna, June 9 (UNI) Congratulating Prime Minister Narendra Modi on becoming India's longest-serving elected Prime Minister, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said Bihar''s rapid development under the Centre''s support has strengthened the vision of a "Developed India".
In a letter addressed to the Prime Minister, Choudhary said Modi''s tenure has been widely noted as a historic political milestone. He said Bihar, known historically as a centre of power, culture and education, is making significant progress toward prosperity and contributing to the national goal of building a developed India.
He highlighted the state''s rich heritage, recalling the contributions of ancient scholars such as Chanakya and Aryabhata and the global prominence of ancient institutions like Nalanda and Vikramshila.

No prescribed uniform for Bihar teachers, but dignified attire mandatory: Deputy CM

Patna, July 21 ( UNI) Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Choudhary on Tuesday clarified in the state Assembly that there is no prescribed uniform or specific dress code for teachers in government schools. However, teachers are supposed to attend educational institutions wearing dignified and appropriate attire befitting the teaching profession.
