Sambhajinagar: BJP finalises Sameer Rajurkar as mayoral nominee

Ch. Sambhajinagar, Feb 9 (UNI) The suspense over who will assume the mayor's post in the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation has finally ended, with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Monday giving its seal on the name of corporator Sameer Rajurkar for the city's top civic position.
With the mayoral post declared open under the general category, several aspirants had emerged, but the BJP, after prolonged deliberations, has now revealed its choice.
Sameer Rajurkar, a corporator from the Samarthnagar ward and known for his administrative experience, has been selected as the BJP's candidate for the post of the city's first citizen. As the BJP is the single largest party in the municipal corporation, the election is now expected to be a formality, with only procedural steps remaining.
