Samajwadi Party Stages Protest Outside PMPML Office, Demands Corruption Probe

Pune, May 13 ( UNI) The Samajwadi Party staged an indefinite sit-in protest outside the headquarters of Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Limited (PMPML) at Swargate, alleging corruption, suppression of information under the Right to Information (RTI) Act, and illegal promotions within the transport body.
The protest was led by Pune city president Jambuwant Manohar, with party workers raising slogans against the PMPML administration and demanding strict action against the officials allegedly involved in irregularities.
Protesters claimed that despite repeatedly filing RTI applications, the administration had provided incomplete and misleading information. They also alleged that although PMPML had acknowledged halting salary hikes linked to controversial promotions, the promotions themselves had not yet been cancelled.
