SAD spokesman sends defamation notice to former leader and YouTuber

Chandigarh, Aug 7 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) Chief Spokesman Arshdeep Singh Kler has issued a defamation notice to former SAD leader Charanjit Singh Brar for making "malicious allegations" against him. Brar had claimed that Kler had filed an affidavit in court asserting that Dera Sirsa personnel nominated as accused in sacrilege cases were innocent.
In addition to Brar, a similar notice was sent to Rattandeep Singh Dhaliwal, who runs the YouTube channel "Talk with Rattan".
The notice, issued by Kler’s lawyer, stated, "No such affidavit had been filed by Kler in the Punjab and Haryana High Court. False information has been circulated deliberately to lower Kler’s reputation." It also noted that the misinformation, presented as an interview, had been shared on social media to further damage Kler's standing.

Bijapur, May 17 (UNI) Following conclusion of the Karregutta operation aimed at eliminating Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, the police in Telangana's Mulugu district have carried out a major crackdown on Naxal activities and have arrested 20 Naxals from various police station areas, including Wazed, Venkatapuram, and Kannigudem.
Those arrested include one Divisional Committee Member (DCM), five Area Committee Members (ACM), and 14 party members.
