Saanjh portal revamped with 14 new digital services, DGP flags off e-scooters for women personnel

Chandigarh, June 10 (UNI) In a move aimed at strengthening citizen-centric and technology-driven policing in Punjab, Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav on Wednesday launched the revamped Saanjh Citizen Portal and flagged off a fleet of 93 electric scooters for women police personnel at the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Police Academy in Phillaur.
The new portal, introduced in line with the Punjab government's focus on improving public service delivery, is designed to make police services more accessible, transparent and efficient. Alongside the launch, the e-scooters were handed over to women personnel associated with Punjab Police Mahila Mitra initiatives and Women Help Desks to enhance their mobility and outreach across the state.
According to officials, the upgraded portal has been developed on the experience gained from more than a decade of operations through over 530 Saanjh Centres functioning across Punjab.
