Russia to increase cargo traffic via Northern Sea Route - Putin

Vladivostok, Sep 5 (UNI) Russia will continue to increase cargo traffic along the Northern Sea Route, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday.
"We will continue to increase cargo traffic [via the Northern Sea Route] , including through the active development of Arctic deposits, redirecting cargo from West to East by increasing transit," Putin said during the plenary session of the the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
The country will also continue to increase the capacity of Russian ports within the borders of the Northern Sea Route, Putin added.
