Russia accuses NATO, UK, EU of stoking anti-Moscow narrative for justifying collective bid to seize frozen Kremlin assets

Moscow, Dec 16 (UNI) Senior Russian official and presidential aide, Kirill Dmitriev, slamming the UK, NATO, and EU for their constant escalation of anti-Russian rhetoric, said that the demonisation was little more than a ruse to justify their plans to seize frozen Russian sovereign assets to support Ukraine's war effort.
Dmitriev, Russia's special presidential envoy for economic cooperation with foreign countries, wrote in a post on X that Western governments were collectively demonising Moscow as part of a coordinated narrative campaign, to legitimise their "theft" of Russian reserves.
"Why are NATO/UK/EU suddenly pushing a coordinated and frantic 'Russia menace' narrative? Not just to distract from mass migration, grooming gangs, rising crime, and economic decline. Corrupt globalist warmongers simply want to steal from the Russian reserves they want to steal," he wrote.
