RSP, NIT Rourkela launch ‘Waste to Wealth’ project to empower women farmers

Bhubaneswar, Oct 11 (UNI) In a major CSR initiative, the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has launched a project titled “Waste to Wealth” to promote sustainable agriculture and empower women farmers in its peripheral areas.
The RSP signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NIT Rourkela for the CSR project focused on Sustainable and Innovative Organic Farming Techniques, aimed particularly at women farmers.
The MoU was signed by T. G. Kanekar, CGM (Town Services & CSR), on behalf of RSP, and Prof. Swadesh Kumar Pratihar, Dean (SRICCE), representing NIT Rourkela, in the presence of officials from both institutions and the CSR Department of RSP.

High turnout in Bihar a signal of vote for change: Prashant Kishor

Patna, Nov 9 (UNI) Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Sunday dubbed the high voter turnout in the first phase of the Bihar assembly elections as "a strong signal of change of regime" in Bihar.
Kishor told media persons that 65.08 percent polling in the first phase of Bihar assembly elections on November 6, was a historic event in the democratic history of the state. It was a strong indication of the fact that people of Bihar had voted for "change of regime" in the state, he noted.
