Rs 50 crore released for Karimnagar Corporation, BJP confident of winning civic polls: Bandi Sanjay

Karimnagar, Jan 13 (UNI) union Minister of State Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Tuesday said the Centre has released Rs 50 crore for the Karimnagar Municipal Corporation under the Urban Infrastructure Development Fund, and asserted that the city’s “face will change” through various central schemes.
Addressing a press conference at Tridha Hotel along with BJP district president Gangadi Krishnareddy and senior party leaders, Bandi Sanjay extended Sankranthi greetings to the people of Telangana and described the fund release as good news for Karimnagar. He said the Centre’s share alone was Rs 40 crore.
Claiming that development in Karimnagar is being driven through central initiatives such as Smart City, Swachh Bharat and AMRUT, he said people have taken note of the changes and predicted that the BJP would hoist the saffron flag over the Karimnagar Corporation in the coming civic elections.
