Rs 171 Cr released for J&K farmers under PM-Kisan scheme

Srinagar, Oct 7 (UNI) J&K Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said around 8.55 lakh eligible farmers across Jammu and Kashmir would receive direct financial assistance amounting to approximately Rs 171 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme today.
The amount would be directly credited into the beneficiaries’ bank accounts.
In a post on X, the office of LG Sinha extended thanks to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and union Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Shivraj Singh Chouhan for the advance release of the 21st installment of the PM-KISAN scheme for the farmers of J&K.
