Roof collapse claims five lives in Bihar's Saran district

Chhapra, Nov 10 (UNI) Five members of a family lost their lives when the roof of their house suddenly collapsed in Manas village under Akilpur police station limits in Bihar’s Saran district.
According to police sources, the incident occurred late Sunday night when the family of Bablu Khan was asleep. Suddenly, the roof of their old house gave way, trapping all five members under the debris. On receiving information, police rushed to the spot and, with the help of residents, rescued the victims and took them to the Danapur Sub-Divisional Hospital. However, doctors declared all of them brought dead.
The deceased have been identified as Bablu Khan (32), his wife Roushan Khatoon (30), daughters Ruksar (12) and Chandni (2), and son Mohammad Chand (10).
