RJD may see leadership transition as Tejashwi Yadav set for bigger role

Patna, Jan 18 (UNI) Bihar’s political circles are abuzz with speculation over a possible leadership change in the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD).
Amid concerns over his deteriorating health, party’s founder and national president, Lalu Prasad Yadav, may decide to step down after holding the reins for 28 years and appoint Tejashwi Yadav as the new national president. Alternatively, he may elevate his younger son to the post of National Executive President.
The final decision is expected to be taken at a special meeting of the RJD Working Committee scheduled for 25 January.
