RIMS Imphal observes 54th foundation day

Imphal, Sep 14 (UNI) Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, today graced the 54th Foundation Day Celebration of the Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), here.
The occasion marks 54 years since the Institute began its journey in 1972 as the Regional Medical College, completing 53 years of dedicated service.
As part of the celebration, Governor distributed prizes to over fifty meritorious students from various medical streams. He also released the annual magazine ‘Remedy’.

Odisha Court jails man for using bank account in cyber fraud

Bhubaneswar, Aug 11 (UNI) A JMFC court in Sambalpur district in Odisha has convicted a 32-year-old man for allowing his bank account to be used in a cyber fraud case and sentenced him to two years of rigorous imprisonment.

Tejashwi alleges 'discrimination' in Bihar teacher transfers, seeks Urdu, Sanskrit teachers in every school

Patna, Aug 11 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Bihar Assembly Tejashwi Yadav has demanded immediate cancellation of the improper transfers of Urdu, Arabic and Persian teachers in government schools in Bihar, prompt payment of the pending salaries of teaching and non-teaching staff of aided madrasas and Sanskrit schools, and the posting of Urdu and Sanskrit teachers in every government school.
