Reviving the heritage: Upgraded coaches return to Kalka-Shimla route

Shimla, Feb 16 (UNI) The iconic Kalka-Shimla railway line, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is set to welcome back its fabled train service with a fresh upgrade.
After being suspended for nearly six months, the pair of trains (NUMBER 04505 and 04506) is ready to chug along the scenic route once again, equipped with modern amenities and enhanced safety features.
The train, which has undergone extensive trials, now boasts fire alarms, new seating arrangements, and improved braking systems, promising a smoother and safer journey for passengers.
