Revenue employee dismissed on corruption charges

Patna, Jan 15 (UNI) A revenue employee posted at the Masaurhi Circle Office has been dismissed from service after being found guilty of serious corruption charges.
District Magistrate Tyagarajan S.M. ordered the dismissal of the employee Raja Kumar under the Bihar Government Servants (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 2005.
Official sources said here that Raja Kumar was arrested by the Vigilance sleuths on December 23 last year from the Masaurhi block office premises while allegedly demanding Rs 1 lakh for disposing of mutation (parimarjan) applications. The departmental inquiry found that he had deliberately kept applications pending and failed to give any satisfactory explanation during disciplinary proceedings.
