Respite from heatwave in Delhi, light rainfall likely till June 2: IMD

New Delhi, May 30 (UNI) Heatwave conditions are gradually reducing in Delhi, with only a few places in the national capital expected to experience these conditions till tomorrow, and the maximum temperature is expected to hover around 44–45 degrees Celsius for the next few days, the India Meteorological Department said on Thursday.
This comes a day after the city’s Mungeshpur area recorded the highest temperature ever at around 52.9 °C, which the weather department later dismissed, clarifying that it could be due to a technical error in the sensor or a local factor.
The MeT department also predicted a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms, duststorms, and winds gusting up to 35 kmph across the national capital until June 2nd.
