Renowned Indian gastroenterologist Dr Nageshwar Reddy inducted into AIMBE College of Fellows

Hyderabad, Apr 18 (UNI) Renowned Indian gastroenterologist Dr. D. Nageshwar Reddy, Chairman of Asian Institute of Gastroenterology (AIG)) Hospitals, has been elected to the College of Fellows of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering, a prestigious global body representing the top tier of medical and biological engineers.
Election to the AIMBE College of Fellows is limited to the top two percent of professionals in the field worldwide and recognises outstanding contributions to research, innovation, and translation of science into clinical practice.
The Fellows include Nobel Laureates, recipients of the U.S. National Medal of Science and National Medal of Technology, and members of leading scientific academies, the Instiute said in a release here on Saturday.

Chennai, May 15 (UNI) Reiterating his demand for scrapping NEET in view of cancellations of exams held already following allegations of question paper leak, former TN CM and DMK President M K Stalin on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promulgate an Ordinance--since Parliament is not in session--to amend section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, to rescind NEET for the academic year 2026–2027 and allow State Governments to make admissions as per the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.
