Registration of ‘CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society’ cancelled, CBSE alerts schools

New Delhi, Dec 8 (UNI) The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued a strong advisory to all its affiliated schools after the Registrar of Firms, Societies and Chits, Agra cancelled the registration of an entity operating under the name “CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO)”, citing the unauthorised and misleading use of the CBSE name.
Issuing the advisory, CBSE Secretary Himanshu Gupta stated that in the order which was passed on 5th December, the Registrar of Firms, Societies and Chits, Agra has cancelled the registration of the entity titled “CBSE Board School Games Welfare Society (CBSE-WSO), Agra.”
“The cancellation has been issued due to the society’s unauthorised and misleading use of the name “CBSE” without the consent of the Board. All affiliated schools are hereby advised that the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has no association, affiliation, endorsement, or connection whatsoever with the aforementioned society,” Gupta said in the advisory notification.
