New Delhi, Nov 11 (UNI) The Delhi Police has registered a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) in connection with the explosion near the Red Fort, with investigators now focusing on its possible link to a recently busted terror module in Faridabad.
A senior police official stated, “A case has been registered under Sections 16 and 18 of the UAPA, along with various sections of the Explosives Act and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Kotwali Police Station.”
A significant new angle has emerged in the investigation.
Sources in the Delhi Police Special Cell said, "There is an indication that the car blast could be linked to a Faridabad terror module, which was busted on the night of November 9. The driver of the suspected car, seen in a video captured shortly before the explosion, wearing a mask."
