Re-investigation sought in Mattannavar bomb case

Gadag (Karnataka) , Oct 10 (UNI) Social activist Prashanth Sambaragi has filed a fresh complaint seeking a re-investigation into the bomb case involving Congress MLA Girish Mattannavar, alleging lapses in the earlier probe and demanding that new evidence and leads be examined thoroughly.
In his complaint, Sambaragi urged authorities to reopen the case to ensure transparency and justice, claiming that crucial aspects were overlooked in the initial investigation. He called for the probe to be handed over to a higher and impartial agency to verify alleged procedural lapses and political interference.
The case, which dates back several years, had stirred controversy in Karnataka’s political circles when Mattannavar’s name surfaced during the preliminary stages of the inquiry. However, no conclusive action was taken, and the matter appeared to have gone dormant.
