Rashid Khan shines in GT win as CSK crash out

Ahmedabad, May 21 (UNI) Indian Premier League 2026 took a decisive turn as Gujarat Titans delivered a complete performance to crush Chennai Super Kings by 89 runs at the Narendra Modi Stadium, a result that also confirmed CSK’s elimination from the tournament.
When the chase still had a flicker of hope, it was Rashid Khan who extinguished it without hesitation. In a match dominated by runs, the Afghan spinner once again proved why he remains one of the most feared white-ball bowlers in the world, producing a decisive spell that powered Gujarat Titans to a commanding win in the 66th match of the season.
Defending a massive 230, Gujarat had already set the tone earlier in the evening with a towering 229/4, built on Sai Sudharsan’s composed 84 and backed by Shubman Gill’s 64 and Jos Buttler’s explosive unbeaten 57. The batting unit ensured CSK were under pressure even before the chase began.
