Mumbai, July 7 (UNI) Anshumaan Pushkar, who will soon be seen sharing screen space with Rajkummar Rao in the upcoming film "Maalik", has expressed deep admiration for the National Award-winning star, calling him one of his all-time favourite actors.
Pushkar, who has followed Rajkummar Rao's career closely, said the opportunity to collaborate with him was both humbling and transformative.
Pushkar said, "Raj is one of my favourite actors. I’ve followed his work closely for years, so to finally collaborate with him was a great learning experience. On set, he’s like a mentor and a good friend — always making things easier for his co-actors.”
Recalling an incident from the sets, he said, there was a tricky scene where he completely felt befuddled. He mentioned how Rao stood by him, giving him cues with full intensity.
He recalled that discussions on the nuances of acting and the exchange of creative ideas with Rao made the process incredibly fulfilling. "Every now and then on set we shared thoughts on the acting process and I must tell you getting those ideas from an actor like Raj bhai who has immense command on his craft pushed me to dig deeper as an actor and made me better in a good way and for that I'll be always thankful to him," he said.
