Rani Mukherji's 'Mardaani 3' set to hit theatres in February 2026

Mumbai, Apr 21 (UNI) Talented Bollywood actress Rani Mukherji is all set to reprise her iconic role as DCP Shivani Shivaji Roy, the fearless cop who champions justice, in the third instalment of the 'Mardaani' franchise, which is scheduled to release on February 27, 2026.

Over the past decade, Yash Raj Films' 'Mardaani' franchise has solidified itself as one of Hindi cinema's most acclaimed and commercially successful female-led series. This blockbuster franchise has today attained a cult status and has a special identity among cinema lovers.

In this third instalment, audiences can expect a grim and visceral showdown, a confrontation between incorruptible virtue and unrepentant evil. The release, scheduled just days before Holi, the festival symbolising the triumph of good over evil - is a deliberate move to echo the film's thematic core.

Rani Mukerji revealed that the edge-of-the-seat thriller is "dark, deadly and brutal" and it immediately piqued curiosity amongst netizens, the fans of the star and the franchise.
