Ranchi Administration issues guidelines to hotels amid winter flight disruptions

Ranchi, Dec 13 ( UNI) The District Administration, Ranchi, has issued a set of guidelines for hotel, lodge, and guest house operators in the district to ensure that passengers do not face undue hardship during the winter season due to disruptions in air services caused by fog and adverse weather conditions.
According to information received from the Airports Authority of India, Birsa Munda Airport, Ranchi, dense fog during the months of December and January frequently leads to the cancellation or delay of flights, particularly those operating to and from North India.
In such situations, passengers are often compelled to seek temporary accommodation in hotels. The administration has received complaints in the past regarding unreasonable and arbitrary hikes in room tariffs by certain establishments during such periods.
