Ram Meghwal signs National Litigation policy document

New Delhi, June 11 (UNI) Union Minister of state (Independent Charge) for Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal on Tuesday signed the much-awaited National Litigation policy document which will help to provide ‘Ease of Living’ to the citizens.

Soon after assuming charge today, the Law Minister signed the National Litigation Policy document.
The policy document aims to provide a litigation-free society and resolution of citizen’s conflicts through simple procedures.
The policy document will be placed before the Union Cabinet in the coming days for its approval.
The policy is part of the 100-day agenda of the Modi 3.0 government, Meghwal said.

Addressing the media, he said, “There was a demand to bring this policy for a very long time. The national litigation policy has been drafted and redrafted over several years with successive governments deliberating on its contours.
This is a policy which will have an impact on every citizen and everyone will feel the ease of living factor.
This policy among other things aims to ease the litigation, reduce pendency and apply simple procedures to resolve the disputes.
Meghwal said, “A key priority of the ministry would be speedy justice in matters pending in the Supreme Court, high courts, lower courts, tribunals and consumer courts.”

"It will help all the stakeholders, the Litigants, lawyers and businessmen as well. Now the citizens will feel that it’s very easy to stay in India as well as to sort out their disputes," the Law Minister said.
