Ram Gopal Varma hails Geetu Mohandas after Yash’s ‘Toxic’ teaser

New Delhi, Jan 9 (UNI) Yash’s upcoming film "Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups" has set social media abuzz with the release of its first teaser, sparking widespread excitement and praise.
Filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma lauded director Geetu Mohandas, calling her the “ultimate symbol of women empowerment.”
Taking to X, RGV wrote, “After seeing Yash starring in the trailer of Toxic, I have no doubt that Geethu Mohandas is the ultimate symbol of Women Empowerment. No male director is man enough in comparison to this woman. I still can’t believe she shot this.”
Other celebrities also praised the teaser.
Alia Bhatt reacted on her Instagram Story with a thumbs-up, calling it “Dynamite.” Filmmaker Karan Johar shared, “Wow!!!! What a Birthday announcement!!! Truly Rocking!”
Rishab Shetty also joined the chorus of admiration.
The teaser, released on Thursday to coincide with Yash’s birthday, offers a glimpse of his intense and enigmatic character, Raya. Set against a cemetery backdrop, the teaser opens with explosive action and gunfire, establishing Raya as a composed, fearless, and unflinching hero wielding a Tommy gun.
‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups’ is written by Yash and Geetu Mohandas, who also directs the film. Yash stars alongside Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria, Kiara Advani, and Nayanthara in pivotal roles.
Produced by Venkat K. Narayana and Yash under KVN Productions and Monster Mind Creations, the film marks Yash’s return to the big screen following ‘KGF: Chapter 2’ and is scheduled to release in theaters on March 19, 2026.
