Rajput Kalyan Sabha seeks review of UGC equity regulations, submits memorandum through DC Kangra

Dharamshala, Feb 2 (UNI) The Rajput Kalyan Sabha, Himachal Pradesh, has expressed serious concern over the equity-related regulations implemented by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and has demanded their immediate review or withdrawal.
The Sabha held a demonstration here and submitted a memorandum to the Central Government and concerned authorities through the Deputy Commissioner and SDM here.
The demand followed a virtual meeting held on January 24, in which academicians, administrative officers, former military personnel and social representatives unanimously opined that the regulations, in their present form, could run contrary to the core objectives of higher education.

Class 10 student found dead in abandoned Manesar building, family alleges foul play

Chandigarh, Feb 11 (UNI) A 17-year-old student was found dead under mysterious circumstances in an under-construction building in the Manesar area of Gurugram district. The deceased, identified as Akash Tiwari, was a Class 10 student at JD Public School. His body was discovered on the first-floor balcony of a dilapidated structure on Wednesday, prompting his family to raise allegations of murder before the local police.
