Rajnath Singh to visit Australia on Oct 9, aims to boost defence ties

New Delhi, Oct 5 (UNI) Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will undertake a two-day official visit to Australia from October 9 to 10, with the objective of strengthening defence cooperation through new agreements and initiatives.
The visit comes at a historic moment when India and Australia commemorate five years of establishment of India Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership (CSP). This will also mark the first-ever visit of a Defence Minister to Australia under this government, since 2014, a Defence Ministry statement said.
The key highlight of the visit will be the bilateral discussions with his Australian counterpart. He will chair a business roundtable in Sydney, which will be attended by industry leaders from both sides.
