Rajasthan Assembly session ends on productive note; passes budget & 10 Bills in 24 sittings

Jaipur, March 11 (UNI) Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani has expressed satisfaction over reasonably smooth and productive budget session that besides the state budget for fiscal 2026-27, passed 10 contentious Bills and discharged routine and scheduled business of the Question Hour and Zero Hour.
The House accomplished its principal task of passing finally Rs 6,10,956 crore state budget for the fiscal year 2026-27 on February 27. The budget, with the revenue deficit of Rs 24,313.93 lakh, was presented by Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari on February 11.
The passage of 10 Bills including the key legislation -the Disturbed Area Bill, Panchayat (Amendment) Bill 2026 and Municipalities (Amendment) Bill - 2026 were passed in a reasonable smooth way marked by optimally balanced and issue based debates.
