Raj Thackeray appeals for dignified Ambedkar Jayanti celebrations

Mumbai, April 14 (UNI) On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray on Tuesday issued a special message urging party workers to celebrate the day with dignity and restraint, avoiding loud DJ music and unnecessary noise.
In his post, Thackeray paid respectful tribute to Dr. Ambedkar, calling his contribution to the Indian Constitution unparalleled. He emphasized that generations of Indians will remain indebted to Ambedkar’s vision and work.
Highlighting Ambedkar’s economic insight, Thackeray referred to his seminal work The Problem of the Rupee: Its Origin and Its Solution, noting how it analysed the depreciation of the Indian rupee under British policies and its impact on common citizens. He added that the ideas presented in the book laid the foundation for the establishment of the Reserve Bank of India.
