Rain, hailstorm bring relief to Hyderabad; traffic disrupted in several areas

Hyderabad, Apr 19 (UNI) Heavy rains, accompanied by hailstorms, brought much-needed relief to Hyderabad residents from the intense summer heat today, even as normal life was disrupted in several parts of the city.
Widespread rainfall was reported across areas including Kukatpally, Moosapet, JNTU, Nizampet, KPHB, Jeedimetla, Balanagar, Boinpally, Jagadgirigutta, and Shapurnagar. Hailstorms were also reported in some localities.
Strong winds caused a large tree to fall in Chintal’s Padmanagar area, uprooting two electric poles and damaging several two-wheelers parked nearby.
