Rain expected in UP from Jan 22, Temperatures may to drop

Lucknow, Jan 20 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh may experience a slight drop in temperature within the next 48 hours. Following this, two active Western Disturbances are expected to bring rain to the state from January 22.
According to the Meteorological Department here today, a change in wind direction and clear skies after the passage of a Western Disturbance led to a drop in minimum temperatures in the western and central parts of the state last night. This drop is expected to continue for the next 24 hours.
Meanwhile, in Purvanchal (eastern Uttar Pradesh), despite a gradual decrease in minimum temperatures over the next 48 hours, temperatures are likely to remain around or above normal. The reduction in fog may also provide some relief from the cold.
