Rain cools Delhi mornings as IMD forecasts sharp temperature drop this weekend

New Delhi, Jun 10 (UNI) Late-night showers in parts of the national capital brought some relief from the heat, as temperatures dropped sharply during the early morning hours on Wednesday, the time at which minimum temperatures are recorded at weather stations for the day.
Safdarjung, Delhi's base weather station, recorded a minimum temperature of 22.9 degrees Celsius, a sharp decline of 6.3 degrees from the previous day. The temperature was nearly five degrees below normal for this time of year. Lodi Road also recorded a minimum temperature of 22.8 deg C, according to the India Meteorological Department's (IMD) evening bulletin.
Under the influence of a western disturbance, Safdarjung received 9.6 mm of rainfall, and the Lodi Road area recorded 7.4 mm late on Tuesday night, providing a brief respite from the sweltering conditions.

The accused, who had been declared a proclaimed offender by a Dwarka court, was apprehended near Dwarka Sector-10 Metro Station following a targeted operation based on technical surveillance and specific intelligence.
