Rahul Gandhi unavailable as Karnataka Cong MLAs push for cabinet reshuffle

Bengaluru/New Delhi, April 16 (UNI) Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Thursday remained unavailable to meet Karnataka Congress MLAs currently in the national capital, as Parliament is in session to deliberate on key issues, including delimitation of constituencies and the proposal for 33 per cent reservation for women in Parliament and state Assemblies.
Amid his unavailability, a group of Karnataka Congress legislators met AICC general secretary in charge of the state, Randeep Singh Surjewala, and pressed for Cabinet berths ahead of a possible reshuffle.
Sources indicated that the MLAs conveyed growing dissatisfaction over the delay in the reshuffle and stressed the need to reward senior legislators and first-time aspirants to maintain organisational balance and morale within the party.

Chennai, May 15 (UNI) Reiterating his demand for scrapping NEET in view of cancellations of exams held already following allegations of question paper leak, former TN CM and DMK President M K Stalin on Friday urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to promulgate an Ordinance--since Parliament is not in session--to amend section 14 of the National Medical Commission Act, 2019, to rescind NEET for the academic year 2026–2027 and allow State Governments to make admissions as per the marks obtained in the qualifying examinations.
