Rahul Gandhi gets relief in Savarkar defamation case

Thane, March 11 ( UNI) Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has received relief in a defamation case related to remarks about freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
The case pending before the District and Sessions Court has been closed after the petitioner withdrew the complaint.
The case was disposed of by Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate R.L. Narwade after the complainant decided to withdraw the petition citing personal reasons.
