Aurangabad,Jan 30 (UNI) Under a new initiative of the Aurangabad City police Commissionerate, QR code spots are being installed at about one thousand places in the city.
This is being done as per the suggestion given by state Home Minister Anil Deshmukh.
Mr Deshmukh inaugurated the Command Control Center of the Commissionerate of Police, Senior Citizens Help Cell and SSM QR Scan System.
MLA Amol Mitkari, MLA Vikram Kale, former MLA Kailas Patil Chikatgaonkar, Commissioner of Police Dr. Nikhil Gupta and others were present at the occasion.
Speaking on this occasion Mr Deshmukh said that the activities like Command Control Center, Senior Citizen Helpline etc. being implemented through the Commissionerate of Police are praiseworthy.
Deshmukh felt that such initiatives help in raising the profile of the police.
He said that the police administration should make continuous efforts to curb crime by making use of latest technology.
He also suggested that the cyber police administration should be more vigilant and take action against the misuse of social media.
He said that a self-balancing scooter project on the lines of Mumbai should be implemented in Aurangabad soon.
He also said that the Home Department is considering various proposals and options for the police to build houses.
The Home Minister also honoured the officers and employees who excelled in their duties when the Corona pandemic was at its peak, they were given certificates.
Shri. Deshmukh launched the SMS QR Scan system by scanning the QR code.
