Punjab SC Commission seeks report on ADGP suicide case

Chandigarh, Oct 11 (UNI) The Punjab State Scheduled Castes Commission has taken suo motu notice of the suicide case of Haryana ADGP Y Puran Kumar in Chandigarh and sought a report from the Director General of Police (DGP), Chandigarh.
Commission Chairman Jasvir Singh Garhi said the matter came to his notice through media reports, following which action was initiated. He has directed the DGP Chandigarh to submit a detailed report on the incident, including action taken so far on the deceased officer’s suicide note and the complaint lodged by his wife, Amneet Kaur.
The Commission has asked for the report to be submitted through an ADGP-rank officer by October 13, 2025.
