Punjab Police carries out major administrative reshuffle; 133 DSPs and ASPs reassigned across departments

Chandigarh, Oct 8 (UNI) The Punjab Police has implemented a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 133 officers serving at the ranks of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). The transfer list was made as part of a wider reorganization process within the state police.
Many of the officers included in the new list had been awaiting postings for several months.They have now been assigned to various specialized units, including the Vigilance Bureau, Road Safety Force, and other operational wings.
Senior officials described the reshuffle as a routine but necessary step aimed at enhancing coordination, ensuring transparency, and strengthening field-level policing across Punjab. The move is also expected to improve administrative efficiency and accountability within the force.

Chandigarh, Dec 15 (UNI) A wedding ceremony in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur district turned into a scene of distress after the groom’s family failed to arrive with the wedding procession, allegedly over an increased dowry demand. The baraat was scheduled to travel from Ludhiana to Mukerian, but the bride was left waiting as guests looked on, and prepared food went to waste.

Uttarakhand AYUSH to set up three big Naturopathy hospitals in Kumaon

Dehradun Dec 15 (UNI) For the first time, Uttarakhand AYUSH Department has made a big move to open naturopathy hospitals with aim to promote wellness tourism in hill areas of the state. Department officials have said that AYUSH hospitals will be built on resort pattern, where customers and ailing patients will be treated as per traditional Indian medication system without taking help of allopathic medicines.
