Jaipur, May 18 (UNI) Punjab Kings captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and elected to bat first against Rajasthan Royals in their Indian Premier League (IPL) match here on Sunday.
Punjab made a bold call to put runs on the board, with Iyer stating that the wicket "looks fantastic" and suits their strong batting lineup. "The powerhouse has been our batting, so got to make the best use of it. Everyone is in high spirits. The mindset has been strong. Kudos to the Army forces," he added.
Rajasthan Royals skipper Sanju Samson, returning to full fitness, admitted he would have preferred to bowl first given the nature of the pitch in the last game against RCB.
