Punjab Governor unveils 'Lutyens' Maverick' authored by Baijayant ' Jay' Panda

Chandigarh, Feb 9 (UNI) The Punjab Governor and Administrator of Chandigarh on Saturday unveiled the maiden Book Lutyens' Maverick authored by the former MP Baijayant “Jay” Panda published by the Rupa Publications here at Punjab Raj Bhawan, Chandigarh.
Talking about the book, the Governor said that there were many key questions that have been addressed to in the book by the author. It is indeed an exhaustive and well researched work, he said.
According to Mr Panda, the contentious questions talked about in the book are just a few of the myriad political, economic and social issues which have been scrutinized thoroughly in his maiden book.

Chhattisgarh: 20 Naxals arrested, 8 surrender in Bijapur

Bijapur, May 17 (UNI) Following conclusion of the Karregutta operation aimed at eliminating Naxalites in Chhattisgarh's Bijapur district, the police in Telangana's Mulugu district have carried out a major crackdown on Naxal activities and have arrested 20 Naxals from various police station areas, including Wazed, Venkatapuram, and Kannigudem.
Those arrested include one Divisional Committee Member (DCM), five Area Committee Members (ACM), and 14 party members.
