Punjab Assembly erupts over looming fuel crisis; censure motion against Centre

Chandigarh, March 11 (UNI) The fifth day of the Punjab Vidhan Sabha budget session witnessed high-octane drama as the state government raised serious alarms over a looming fuel crisis triggered by the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
Food and Civil Supplies Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak introduced a censure motion against the Central government's foreign policy, citing a significant breakdown in LPG supplies.
The Minister noted that commercial gas supplies have already been slashed, and with the wheat harvesting season approaching, the state faces a dual challenge of fuel scarcity and a lack of storage space in warehouses due to the slow lifting of rice stocks.
