Punjab: 4 drug addicts escape from de-addiction centre amid security concerns

Phagwara, Jun 12 (UNI) Four drug addicts escaped from the Drug De-Addiction Centre at Civil Hospital Phagwara on Thursday during a routine activity on hospital premises.
The escape occurred when a group of seven inmates allegedly attempted to flee, but three of them were quickly apprehended by the centre’s staff.
According to initial reports here, the inmates were instructed to put clothes out to dry in the playground area when they reportedly overpowered a ward attendant and made a run for it.
