Pune administration ramps up Ashadhi Wari preparations

Pune, June 13 ( UNI): The district administration has intensified preparations to ensure better facilities for lakhs of devotees expected to participate in the forthcoming Ashadhi Wari. A crucial review meeting on the planning and management of the Palkhi departure ceremonies from Dehu and Alandi was held in the presence of Deputy Chief Minister and Pune District Guardian Minister Sunetra Pawar.
During the meeting, officials conducted a detailed assessment of arrangements for the large influx of Warkaris visiting the two pilgrimage towns. Key areas reviewed included the availability of drinking water, sanitation facilities, healthcare services, transportation management, security measures, and other essential public amenities.
The administration emphasized the need for close coordination among all concerned departments to ensure that the Wari is conducted smoothly, safely, and efficiently. Necessary directions were issued to the respective agencies to provide a seamless and comfortable experience for devotees throughout the pilgrimage.
